A winning $3 million Georgia Lottery instant ticket was sold at a convenience store in Dalton. Tibbs Road Convenience Store, 813 N. Tibbs Road in Dalton, sold a top prize from the $3,000,000 Taxes Paid instant ticket.
Dilip Patel, co-owner of the convenience store, is happy to have sold a prize of that size.
“It’s going to make a huge difference,” Patel said. “Customers are going to come in to our store.”
The winner, Daniel Griffin of Rocky Face, claimed his prize on March 30.
“We knew we would have it happen – that someone would win,” Patel said. “This is good. It’s exciting.”
The instant game $3,000,000 Taxes Paid is loaded with cash prizes up to $3 million after taxes. Players can submit non-winning tickets in the extra chance drawings for a chance to win $20,000 after taxes. Drawings are held on Wednesdays.

$12.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More
