Baxter "B.F." Franklin Brewer, 87, of Dalton, GA, died Sunday morning, October 28, 2012 at his residence. 

B.F. was born January 2, 1925 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Joe Brewer Sr. and Lillian Peek Brewer; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Lela Marie Brewer; and brothers, Allen Brewer, J.D. Brewer and Joe Brewer Jr. 

He was a member of the McFarland Hill Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Brewer, James and Frances Brewer of Dalton and Tommy and Teresa Brewer of Cohutta; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tracy Lollis; brother, Doyle Brewer of Rossville; 12 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Baxter "B.F." Franklin Brewer will be held Tuesday, October 30, at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bill Walker, Reverend Bruce Beach and his grandson, Reverend Jeremy Brewer officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife at the Antioch Cemetery with Joseph Brewer, Kevin Brewer, Michael Chance, Robert Chance, Phillip Bell and Jeff Brewer serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6-9 p.m. Monday, October 29 and after 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 30.

Ponders Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
