About the Show: "A Christmas Story, The Musical" (Music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Book by Joseph Robinette. Based on books and short stories by Jean Shepherd and the MGM movie, A Christmas Story)
Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. A Christmas Story, The Musical is the hilarious account of Ralphie’s desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect of gifts ends up under his tree this Christmas despite repeated warnings of "You’ll shoot your eye out!" The show was on Broadway last holiday season, but this year all the fun is right here at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
Peter Billingsley, star of the 1983 movie, was one of the co-producers of A Christmas Story, the Musical, when it opened on Broadway in 2012. The production received two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, six Drama Desk Award nominations as well as three Tony Award nominations.
