Badly Decomposed Body Found During Creek Cleanup In East Ridge

A badly decomposed body was found during a creek cleanup in East Ridge late Saturday morning.

At about 11:30 a.m., East Ridge Police responded to reports that volunteers cleaning trash and debris from the creek at Camp Jordan had discovered a body in the creek. 

Criminal investigators arrived and determined that it was human remains in advanced stages of decomposition. 

The Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office also sent personnel.

There is no information available as to the identity of the remains.
