Joseph Chapel AME Celebrates Founders Day Sunday

  • Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Joseph Chapel AME Church will celebrate its Annual Founders Day celebration this Sunday at the 11 a.m. service. Founders Day is a time of reflection and commemoration dedicated to one of America's earliest civil rights pioneers and first bishop of the AME Church, Richard Allen, and all of the first congregants who were boldly led by faith.

This year's celebration, themed “Acts of Faith: Blessings Fulfilled”, will be led by host pastor the Rev.

Tarel McCurklin, with the Rev. Anthony Carter serving as guest speaker for the occasion. A special first founders presentation will also be a part of the service. Everyone is invited to attend.
