Rufus Williamson Speaks At Signal Mountain Genealogical Society April 2

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at the Walden Town Hall, 1836 Taft Highway.  

The guest speaker, Rufus Williamson is known within the Chattanooga area for his work in the fields of genealogy and history.  Mr. Williamson will present a program focusing on the Kerr Clan of Ferniehirst Castle in Scotland and their descendants.   

Refreshments will be served at 1 p.m. followed by the business meeting and program. Visitors are always welcome.

Jacob Coyne Guilty Of Murder, Robbery; Gets Life In Prison In Slaying Of Jalen Little

A Criminal Court jury on Friday night found Jacob Coyne guilty in the March 2017 slaying of 19-year-old Jalen Little, who was shot down in the driveway of his home on Oak Tree Drive. Chattanooga Airport Board Gives Go-Ahead For $25 Million Parking Garage

The Chattanooga Airport Board on Friday unanimously approved the awarding of $25 million to Hoar Construction in order to design and build a new four-level parking garage for the airport.
