Hazel Avo Martin Davis Cross, 88, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her residence.
A lifelong resident of the North Georgia/Chattanooga areas, she was a former employee of Red Food where she worked as a cashier and was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ervin and Callie Casteel Martin, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Cross of Chickamauga, two children, Nina (Glen) Trundle of Chickamauga, and Bill (Gail) Davis of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; two stepchildren, Beverly (Jim) Bennett of Blue Ridge, Ga., and Dianne Walton of Canton, Ga.; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Chris Morgan and Glen Trundle officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, from 3-9 p.m., and Monday until funeral time at the funeral home.
