Myra Louise Pullom-Scruggs, 96, died on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
She was born March 15, 1917 to the late John Pullom and Carrie Madden-Pullom of Chattanooga. She was a retired LPN with 35 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Reverend Horace Scruggs, former Pastor of Miracle Missionary Baptist Church; six brothers, Johnny, Mark, Lloyd, Rudolph, Harry and Fred Pullom; one sister, Louvenia Pullom.
She is survived by her sons, Michael W. (Karen) Scruggs, Kelvert Y. (Tiffany) Scruggs, Rev. Clarence L. Scruggs; two sisters-in-law, Carrie Scruggs Ward and Delois Scruggs Ragland, Stevenson, Ala.; grandchildren, Tonica Michele Scruggs-McClain (Antwon), Kennedy Chenell Scruggs, Lincoln Hamilton Scruggs, McKinley Prescott Scruggs, Mura D. Hyatte, Sean Michael Scruggs, Timothy Fossils; great grandchildren, Amarion Dewan McClain and Lynnea Michele McClain; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, at 12 p.m. at Miracle Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Jacks officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery
The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, May 2, with family visitation from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
