Frank “Maynard” Steadman, 73, of Calhoun, TN, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Skyridge Medical Center.
He was a native of Fall Branch, TN and spent the last 36 years in McMinn County. Maynard was a hard worker, devoted to his family, and never met a stranger. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Molly Mae Strickler Steadman; sisters, Mary Joe Hulse and Maylene Britt; and brothers, Hal, J. Fred, and George Steadman.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Linda Rogers Steadman; daughters, Donna Fluty of Williamston, SC and Susie (Mark) Fincher of Belton, SC; sons, Danna ( Shelia) Steadman of Calhoun and Delano (Betty) Steadman of Etowah; step-daughters, Debbie (Paul) Schroeder of Pensacola, FL, Donna (Chris) Fowler of Indian Mound, TN and Suzy (Billy) Clemons of Bonaire, GA; sister, Margie (Charles) Dawson of Fall Branch, TN; brother, Lyndale (Kaye) Steadman of Chickamauga, GA; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Moates officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m Wednesday, June 12 at the Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah, who has charge of the arrangements.
