Rance Humphreys, 49, of Dalton, GA, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leldon and Lucille Dover and Eugene and Helen Humphreys.
He was an avid golfer and music lover. He graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 1991. He completed his internship in Psychiatry and his Psychiatry residency at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Glenda Humphreys of Texas; a sister, Tana and Joel Switsky of Texas; two nephews, Ethan and Ewan Switsky; aunts and uncles, Wilbur and Sue Dover, Gary and Sonja Dover, Kent and Becky Westbrook, Wayne and Molly Dover, Corbin and Tony Humphreys and Rhonda Pence; cousins, Scott Dover, Brent Dover, Lisa Gutierrez, Stephen Dover, Mandy Walker, Christy Termotto, Kari Westbrook, Dr. Brad Westbrook, Bobby McAfee, Jared Maxwell, Charlcey Karm, Jenny Vasquez and Michael Dahl; and his life partner, Eddie Scott of Atlanta.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 2, at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples funeral home.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel on Sunday, November 2, from 2-4 p.m.
