WTCI-PBS Hosts Masterpiece Experience Wine Dinner At 212 Market Restaurant

  • Friday, December 19, 2014

WTCI's friends and supporters are invited to share in a Masterpiece Experience at 212 Market Restaurant on Thursday, March 5. Renowned chef Susan Moses will present a 5-course gourmet meal featuring locally sourced, organic ingredients. These unique dishes are not on the menu, will be specially designed for the evening and are paired with wines that complement each course.

Guests at the Chef's Table will also enjoy a VIP discussion with the wine steward. The restaurant has been honored with the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence annually since 2004. Individual, corporate and Chef's Table seating is available and they can accommodate most table configurations.

“We are very pleased and excited to once again partner with 212 Market to offer our donors this unique opportunity to participate in our 8th annual Masterpiece Dining Experience coupling exquisite VIP fine dining complemented by exceptional wine parings,” says Richard Johnson, vice president of Development.

Chef Susan Moses is a member of Slow Food and has cooked as a guest chef at the James Beard House in New York. "Susan, Maggie and Sally Moses are icons in Chattanooga’s restaurant community, have been an anchor restaurant since the riverfront’s revitalization and were the first restaurant in Tennessee certified by the Tennessee Green Hospitality Program," officials said.

“Creating new dishes for the Masterpiece Experience is much like making new music. There are only 8 notes in an octave, but the number of songs you can make is infinite, depending on how you put them together,” says Chef Moses.

Paul Grove, president and CEO of WTCI, says “The menu for this year’s event is a Masterpiece very similar to our highly-acclaimed British dramas Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge and Poirot. Our amazing friends at 212 Market have created an incredible menu with dishes and wine selections that are unique to this special evening.”

This event is made possible by support from sponsors, including Barnett & Company and the First Tennessee Foundation. Please visit wtciTV.org/wine or contact Cynthia Wilson at 423-702-7819 for information and reservations for this fundraising event. Current discount pricing is only valid until Dec. 31.
