Eric Barton Eatherly, 35, of Chicago, Illinois, died in Knoxville, on December 29, 2014 in a tragic automobile accident.

Eric was born in San Francisco, CA on April 24, 1979. He moved to Chattanooga at age four and lived here until he graduated from Chattanooga School for Arts and Sciences in 1997. He then went to Northwestern University where he graduated with a BA degree in dance. After graduation, Eric was a professional dancer until an injury ended his career. He became Vice President of The Silverman Group public relations company in Chicago.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bruce D. Hunt and paternal grandparents, Lt Col Joseph and Kay Eatherly.

He was loved and will be greatly missed by those who survive him, including his mother, Nancy Follis of Chattanooga; father, Joseph Eatherly M.D. of Knoxville; half-sister, Janna Eatherly; maternal grandmother, Frances Chapman; best friend, Jay Leibovitz; aunt, Emily Perrine (Paul); uncle, John Hunt (Althea); aunt, Lynda Modlin (Jerry); cousins, Todd Grainger(Teresa), Martha Beavers, Michael Hunt, and Hunter Modlin.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Eric in Chicago at a later date.
