Hugh Kelley Sims, 78, of Signal Mountain, TN, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. 

He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and an accomplished guitarist who taught guitar over 40 years. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Montaye Stephens; parents, Fred and Tressie Sims; brothers, Fred Sims, Jr. and T.L. Sims; and father and mother-in-law, Tomie and Mae Johnson. 

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Allie Johnson Sims; brother, Fay Sims; sister, Viva Davis; grandchildren, Ian, Reid and Maddee Stephens; son-in-law, Don Stephens; the family of Tomie and Mae Johnson; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, June 11, in the funeral home chapel with Sam Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at the Ewton Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
