Mildred Louise Frazier Godfrey, 88, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the family residence.
She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where she was a special singer at the church and various events. She was a former employee of Tip Top Food Town and also Kellman Manufacturing.
Mrs. Godfrey was preceded in death by her first husband, James William Bunch and her second husband, William L. Godfrey; children, James William Bunch, Jr and Marshall D. Bunch; her parents, Thomas Edward Frazier and Doshia Elizabeth Underwood Frazier; and sister, Edith Frazier.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ann Bunch Wilson and husband Bill of Cleveland, Wanda Faye Price and husband Ronnie of Benton; five grandchildren, Chris Chastain, Shelley Hubbard, Kim Stroupes, Keisha Price and Dayna Bitzel; four great-grandchildren, Katie Stoupes, Skylar Roberts, C.J. “Chris” Chastain and Cooper Bitzel; great-great-grandchild, Krista Chastain; two sisters, Myrtle Lawson and husband, Gerald of Maryville and Willie Ruth Quinn and husband, Marvin of Apison, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, at the Philadelphia Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Higgins and Reverend Jason Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Carmel Cemetery with Chris Chastain, C.J. “Chris” Chastain, Ralph Quinn, Reginald Quinn, Matthew Quinn and Robert Quinn serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 13, from 5-8 p.m. at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
