Wanda Brackett Carlock, 76, of Rocky Face, GA, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and Children’s Sunday School teacher at Grove Level Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carlock; her parents, Daniel and Fae Brackett; and her sister, Patricia Dendy.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Alan Nuckolls of Rocky Face; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jan Carlock of Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Andrew Nuckolls of Rocky Face, Kaci Carlock and Shane Newsome of Opelika, AL and Hunter Pennington of Elkin, NC; great-grandson, Carter Newsome; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Gene Coulter of Tampa, FL; brother, Charles Brackett of Andrews, NC; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beth Carlock of Dalton, GA, Jean and Dave McMahan of Rocky Face, GA and Robert (Tommy) Dendy of Cedar Bluff, AL; and nieces and nephews.

Services are Sunday,  at 2 p.m. at Grove Level Baptist Church with Rev. George Ross, Rev. Mark Carlock, Rev. Curt Hampton, and Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday, September 13 from 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Grove Level Baptist Church, 2802 Cleveland Highway, Dalton, GA 30721.
