Peter Vincent Greohrs, 93, of Dalton, GA, Cocoa Beach, FL and Cleveland, OH, died on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Royal Oaks of Dalton.
Peter was born April 5, 1921 in Lodi, NJ. He proudly served his country during World War, II in the U.S. Coastguard. He was retired from General Electric of Cleveland, OH and was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dalton and Our Savior’s of Cocoa Beach. He was a Seton Hall Graduate and attended John Carroll University in Cleveland for Post Graduate Studies. Peter was a Deacon and member in the Church of Our Savior Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Jo Greohrs of Royal Oaks; daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Ronald Boger of Chattanooga; son, Greg Johns of Kingsville, OH; grandchildren, Patrick and Tracey Gillette, Brandon and Misty Gillette, Darren and Lisa BuCare, Stefanie and Rocco Mansueto and Alex Johns; great-grandchildren, Bayden, Bryce, Chase, Cameron, Sofia and Micah; numerous nephew and nieces.
Prayer services to celebrate the life of Mr. Peter Vincent Greohrs will be held Saturday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Father Paul Williams officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Church of Our Saviour Catholic Church Cemetery, 5301 North Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, Florida, 32931 at a later date.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 10 a.m. Saturday, September 13 until the service hour.
