Spencer Reid Crawford, 38, of Dalton, GA, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Colby Crawford; and grandparents, Farrell Hair and Eugene and Peggy Crawford.
Reid was a man of many talents. He was a graduate of North Georgia Technical College. His love was BIG for his family, friends, his dog banjo and the culinary arts. His charismatic personality will be missed by us all. We smile as we still hear him say, "Hey watch this", his motto of life.
He is survived by his wife, Meridth Crawford and her two sons, Isaac and Carter McGill; daughter, Gracie Crawford; mother, Brenda Hair Pullen; step-father, Sam Pullen, Jr.; father, Tom Crawford; step-mother, Sheryl Crawford; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lauren Bailey and Kacey and Tad Taylor; brother, Tommy Sampson; grandmothers, Geraldine Hair Reyes and Christine Hair; aunts, Wanda Hair Taylor and Colleen Stephens; uncles, Gary Taylor, Craig Crawford and Craig Stephens; nephews, Ethan and Chandler Sampson, Blake Crawford and Kyler Bailey; and nieces, Kayslee and Karolee Taylor.
A celebration a life service will be held Friday, January 23, at 6 p.m., at Dawnville United Methodist Church with Reverends John Merk and Alvin Taylor officiating. All friends and family are invited to attend.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to an educational fund for his daughter, Gracie Crawford, secured at First Bank of Dalton.
Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton.
