Joe Walker
Joe Cole Walker, 56, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Monday, January 5, 2015.
He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, and was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga. He was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School Class of 1976 where he played football for the Trojans. After he graduated he served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 to 1981. He had worked for over 20 years for A.D.T. Security Systems in installations. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church in Rossville.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Anna Jean Cole Walker and brother: Dirk DeForrest Walker.
He is survived by his father: Julian DeForrest Walker of Chattanooga, son: Julian Blake Walker of Chattanooga, daughter: Janice Leigh (Timothy) Cottom of Chickamauga, grandchildren: Abigale and Addison Walker of Flintstone, Brayden Cottom of Chickamauga, nieces: Angela Ballard and Amy Hollis both of Rossville, and many cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 9, from 3–6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Dewayne Madaris officiating.
