Amos Aaron Smith
Amos Aaron Smith, 73, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and Santa, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at the Good Shepard Hospice in Auburndale, Florida, surrounded and supported by his family.
Aaron was born on Signal Mountain to the parents of Minnie Belle and Ernest. He met the love of his life in the mid 70s, got married and began his journey through Signal Mountain, Ringgold, Sycamore, IL, Paducah, KY, Statesville, N.C., Hartselle and Moulton AL. Aaron and his wife moved to Lake Wales to pursue their dream to live in the beautiful state of Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Lake Wales; his five children, Myrna Vaughn of Suwanee, GA, Pat Smith of Signal Mountain, Jeana Schickedantz of Browns Summit, N.C., Tommy Martin of Suwanee, GA and Curtis Smith of Signal Mountain; four grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, Sydney and Grace; nephew, Chris Smith of Signal Mountain; niece, Debbie Phillips of Murfreesboro, TN.
Preceding Amos in death were his parents, Minnie Belle and Ernest; brother, Paul, and sister, Nancy.
A celebration in memory of Aaron’s life was held on Jan. 30, at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales, FL.
A graveside service will be held in Chattanooga, at 2 p.m. on Feb. 7, at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
