Morris, Juanita Chastain

Juanita Chastain Morris, 83, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in a local health care facility.

Ms. Morris was born May 5, 1931, to the late Al J. and Omega Elizabeth Chastain in Knoxville, Tennessee.  For more than 30 years, she served as a head cashier at one of the largest grocery chains in Ohio. Following her retirement and move to Chattanooga, she joined the Brainerd United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Al Chastain, Jr., Gene Chastain, and Guy Chastain.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Ewell and Bettye Chastain; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Doug Carter, all of Chattanooga; one niece, and several nephews.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East, Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, with Reverend Ronald Ragon officiating.  

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
