Brenda Holloway
Brenda Faye Kemp Holloway, 62, died early Tuesday morning, May 26, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones.
A graduate of Riverside High school class of 1971, she attended Chattanooga State Community College.
She is a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Chattanooga Choral Society for the Preservation of African American Song. She enjoyed praises to her Lord and Savior daily with her magnificent soprano voice.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Holloway, Sr.; sons, Robert E. Holloway, II of Arlington, VA; Marcus (Andre) Holloway, Derrick Holloway, Sr.; brother, Scott (Valeria) Lacy, III; sisters, Alicia Langston, Angela L. Denis, Priscilla (Tracy) Rivers, Charlotte (Eric) Appleberry, Deborah, Venus, Sonya, Theresa Lacy, and Rebecca Kemp Malone; brother-in-law, James O. Holloway; sister-in-law, Adeline Hollins; a devoted aunt, Theresa McShan; devoted niece, Bridgett Mikes.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 3, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 2305 East Third Street with Dr. Paul A. McDaniel Officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday and the family will received friends from 5–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
