Jason Richard Cope, 42, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday night, June 9, 2015.
Jason was born on September 9, 1972. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Jason enjoyed watching Nascar, surfing, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Buddy Cope; his grandmother, Monterey Geren Boles; and his uncle, Bucky Geren.
Jason is survived by his two daughters, Kaley Cope and Cami Cope; his father and step-mother, Richard & Teresa Cope; mother, Tana Geren Cope; two brothers, Ryan Cope and Jeremy Calhoun; grandmother, Bobbie Cope; uncle and aunt, Allan & Debbie Cope; the mother of his children, Christy Cope; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A memorial service celebration his life is planned for Friday, June 12, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Joe Brooks officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 12 from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donation be made in Jason’s memory to a trust fund for his daughters that is being handled through the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union. Those can be made out to "Christy Cope-In Memory of Jason Cope" and sent to the TVFCU 180 Stuart Crossing NE Cleveland, TN 37312.
