Ida Mae Henderson, 74, died on Monday, November 21, 2016 at her home. 

She was born June 29, 1942 to the late Lorenzo and Ida Smith Henderson in Chattanooga.  She was a former faithful member of Piney Woods Baptist Church.  She served as a musical and praise and worship leader, singing around the city.  She was baptized in the name of Jesus at Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church under Pastor Norman Smith.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Ida L. Henderson, Mirrar Henderson Jones, Cathy White, Cynthia Finley, Keelisha Patterson; and god-daughter, Sarah Williams, all of Chattanooga; eleven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; devoted friend and cousin, Joyce Hicks; dear friends, Stella Jones and Tiki Thompson; several cousins, other relatives and friends.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, at Highland Memorial Gardens with Pastor Norma V. Smith officiating.  

The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, Nov. 26,and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
