Lila Sims
Lila Ann Sims, 62, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at her residence.
She was formerly employed by SCT Yarns.
She was preceded in death by her father, Booker T. Young, Sr.; mother, Janie Young; brother, Booker T. Young, Jr.; and aunt, Mary Benton.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew Sims; son, John (Kristen) Clay of Nashville; daughters, Lac Kesia Young and Coretha “Rita” Kendricks (honorarium son-in-law, Frunsez Kendricks) both of Chattanooga; stepson, Andre (Marcel) Caldwell; stepdaughter, Angela (KC) Calloway; grandchildren, Derrick Greene, Telly Petty, Jr., and Olivia Clay; sisters, Cynthia (Ken) Sullivan of Killeen, TX, Cassandra Young of San Diego, CA, Roslyn (Jerry) McCullough of Chattanooga, Alesia Young of Georgia, Wanda Young, Margree (Donell) Moreland, and Andrea Anderson; aunts, Ernestine Dorsey and Mattie Bush, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Tuesday, June 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 29, at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
