Cranfield, Franklin “Frank” Dee (Cleveland)

Franklin “Frank” Dee Cranfield, 76, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at his home.

He was a retired Bradley County bus driver and an employee of the Blue Springs Service Center for 33 years.  He also worked at Jackson Furniture for 20 years.  Frank was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

In 2003 he was a founding member of the Hiwassee Valley Antique Tractor Club where he served on the board of directors.  He spent many years enjoying bowling, golf, fishing, antique tractors and camping.  Frank was a devoted University of Tennessee Volunteer fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Irene Cranfield; brother, Larry Cranfield; and two sisters, Joyce Cranfield and Helen Cranfield.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Florence Cranfield; sons, Terry Cranfield and wife, Dawn and Michael Cranfield and wife, Lisa, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Lindsey Edwards, Harley Bell, Brook Kimsey and husband, Jon and Canaan Cranfield; siblings, Cecil Cranfield, and Shirley Hicks, both of Cleveland and Jean Strickland of Birchwood; several nieces and nephews; his church family and friends; and his special friend, Little Bit.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Gardner and Pastor Johnny Hood officiating.  Interment will follow in Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery in Georgetown with Wesley Hicks, Curtis Hicks, Bruce Hilliard, Tim Cranfield, John Davis David Wright, Ray Forrest and Jon Kimsey serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Cranfield, Milan Cranfield, Bryan Cranfield, Jamie Cranfield and Hoyle Ellis.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

His family will receive friends on Monday, June 27 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
