Aaron Bell
Aaron Nobles Bell was born on August 20, 1941 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Margaret Nobles and the late Irvin Bell. He peacefully died on August 17, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
Aaron was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System, attending Booker T. Washington High School. Aaron retired from Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga after 35 years of service. He was honored as Erlanger’s “Star Employee of the Year” in 1993. After retiring from Erlanger, he worked at Conagra for five years.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Nobles; father, Irvin Bell; brother, James Hutchins; former spouse, Maxine Baldwin Bell; and son, Victor Bell, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Dirria Stone Bell (Chattanooga); daughters, Adrienne Bell (Chattanooga) and Diondra Pointer (Nashville); son, Kerry Pointer (Jackson, MS); sons from a previous marriage, Aaron Christopher Bell (Kansas City, MO) and Sean (Anita) Bell of Chattanooga; nieces, Janice Gordon (Harrison) and Janice (Cornell) White of Harrison; grandchildren: Brent Johnson, Adam Bell, Abigail Bell, Judith Bell, Joshua Bell, Ashley Bell (all of Chattanooga), and Victor Bell, Jr. (Atlanta, GA); great granddaughter, Kayana Johnson (Chattanooga); mother-in-law, Marvella Kirkland (Chattanooga); brothers-in-law, Jarrett (Angel) Stone (Chattanooga) and Gregory Stone (Kearneysville, WV); and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. with visitation to begin at 9 a.m. on the same day. Interment will be in Tyner Cemetery.
