Former Judge Neil Thomas And Michael Thomas Launch Firm

  • Monday, November 20, 2017
The Law Firm of Thomas & Thomas has joined the legal community to provide a full menu of litigation, mediation and representation services led by the father and son duo of former Hamilton County Circuit Judge Neil Thomas, III and Michael Thomas, who has been practicing since 2010 in the Chattanooga area.

“Our team’s commitment to the integrity of the law and the remedy of justice is borne out of our collective decades of experience and success,” the senior Mr. Thomas said. The former judge continued, “In addition to traditional consumer litigation, the firm will move with imagination into new areas of law which have yet to be explored.
We will also provide consultation to and with other lawyers and firms in jury trial preparation.”

"Exiting the bench in October after a twenty-year career in public service to the 11th Judicial District located in Hamilton County, Neil Thomas brings a depth of experience featuring more than 200 jury trials and extensive work outside the courtroom in mediation. Michael Thomas, having been a small business owner during his college years has focused his practice to date in the arenas of corporate and business law along with trust and estate representation," officials said.

“The law can be complex,” said Michael Thomas. “Making the path for our clients as clear and simple as possible is our team’s commitment whether in the courtroom or the boardroom.”

The Law Firm of Thomas & Thomas, in addition to general corporate representation and complex domestic disputes, will work in conjunction with Healthcare and Legal Consultation, LLC to provide not only litigation options for clients, but will also feature mediation to avoid courtroom proceedings and trial preparation and jury selection for other legal clients. For providers, patients, healthcare organizations and nonprofits, Healthcare Consulting will strengthen and complete the advocacy position.

“Using our diverse backgrounds and experiences to serve families and companies with a comprehensive but unique perspective, the team approach will address most needs of clients,” said Thomas Winston, president of Healthcare and Legal Consulting, LLC and former president and CEO of Erlanger Hospital and Life Care Centers of America, as well as chief executive officer of the Chattanooga Heart Institute.

Mr. Winston and Judge Thomas will work with David Ross, PhD, the former UC Foundation professor of Psychology at the University of Tennessee and president of Ross Trial Consulting to offer a wide-range of support services and subject matter expertise for clients of The Law Firm of Thomas & Thomas.

The office is located at One Park Place, 6148 Lee Hwy. at the crossroads of Highway 153 and I-75 in the East Brainerd and Brainerd areas, with free parking during their business hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 423-910-9100.
