Marvin McGill Jones, 71, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Friday, March 16, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Earl & Nancy Riddle Jones; sisters, Lillian Wilson, Faye Gregory and Billie “Sue” Wells; brother, Duane “Fred” Jones; and granddaughter, Alissa Myers.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Ashburn Jones; children, Jennifer (Jake) Turpening of Whitwell, Valerie Myers of Cleveland and Lorie Jackson of Soddy Daisy; brother, Wetzel Jones of Cartersville, GA; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Billy, Joshua, Brandon, Ethan, Kayla, Glenn & Keena; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Javhonie and Jaxon; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Condra Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
