Drink And Discover At The Children's Museum Is April 20

  • Friday, March 24, 2017

Creative Discovery Museum invites adults to its first Drink & Discover: The World of CDM where being over 21 has never been so much fun.

The Museum will be closed to kids and adults 21 and up will be able to discover The World of CDM alongside friends with a drink in their hand on Thursday, April 20, from 7-10 p.m.

Guests will experience hands-on science demonstrations that will "make the kid inside of them come alive."  They will be able to create and taste their own herb infused olive oil in Culinary Corner, relax in the Art Studio with each pass of a paintbrush, or start a rock band they always talked about in the Performing Arts Gallery recording studio. Other activities include woodworking or sewing skills in the Make It workshop, play a life-size or normal-size game of chess in the current traveling exhibit, Kings, Queens & Castles and much more.

“Drink & Discover is the perfect event for people to come explore the Museum, maybe even for the first time,” said Denise Karnes, special events and development manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “A lot of young adults in the area grew up coming to the Museum but haven’t had a reason to return in years. That’s not the case anymore.  We are very excited to host this one of a kind event.”

Tickets are $15 and on sale now at cdmfun.org/discover. Drink tickets can be purchased online in advance. Beer and wine tickets will be sold for only $4 each. A valid ID is required to enter Drink & Discover.

Admission includes access to the Museum’s exhibits, light hors d'oeuvres including a mashed potato bar and a souvenir cup. Big River Grille Downtown will be providing beer. Coca-Cola Bottling Company will be providing free soft drinks and water. For more information, contact Denise Karnes at 648-6072.
