Leon Couch, 83, of Benton, Tennessee, passed away at his residence on Monday, April 3, 2017.
He was a good husband and father and enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a true outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Celia Clayton Couch; grandson, Jesse Couch; sister, Kay Rumpel; and brother, Clyde Couch.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Couch; children, Jeffrey Couch, Vicki (Jeff) Stanfield, Tami (Terry) Presswood and Scott (Cindy) Couch; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Alene Johnson, Murphy, NC, Alice A. Thompson, Woodriver, IL and Janice Penny Keith, Las Vegas, NV; brother, Kenneth Vance Couch, Youngstown, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Guinn Green and Reverend Richard Mason officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, in Benton Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the Higgins Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
