David C. Clay, 65, husband of Kathleen A. Clay, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at his home in Georgetown.

Born in Trenton, MI, he was the son of the late Paul Dean and Estella B. Clay.

David was a veteran of the United States Air Force, group leader with Toyota (TMMK) and an agent with Rector Hayden Realtors. He was a lifelong member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Dalton, GA. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by his children, David A. (KaNetta) Clay, Georgetown, Robert C. Clay, Colorado Springs, CO, CaLandon D. (Heather) Clay, Dalton, GA, Misty B. Clay, Preston T. (Melissa) Clay and Kelly M. Clay, all of Georgetown; brothers and sisters, Bobby D. Clay, Ontario, CA, R. Paulett Clay, Rocky Face, GA, S. Dale (Ramona) Clay, Foley, AL, Rodney D. (Pat) Clay, Bay Minette, AL, Donna K. (Tom) Bein, Elberta, AL and Deanna Clay, Dalton, GA, as well as 17 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be from 2-7 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Grace Christian Church in Georgetown. An additional visitation will be from 5-9 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Love Funeral Home, Dalton, GA. Services will be at 11 AM on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Church of God of the Union Assembly, Dalton, GA with burial to follow at Serenity Hills Memorial Park, Chatsworth, GA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the David C. Clay Memorial Fund, c/o Whitaker Bank.
