Doris Elizabeth Harden, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence. 

She retired from the City of Chattanooga in 1993.  She was a lifelong member of Stanley United Methodist Church. 

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Lawrence and Bob Jones. 

Survivors include her husband, Ephram Harden, Jr.; sons, Ephram Harden, III and Timothy Harden both of Chattanooga; daughters, DeAndra (Van) Hinton of Chattanooga, Michelle Collins of Lilburn, GA, and Natasha (Dexter) Barnett of Chattanooga; step-children, Eddie Lee Mays and Brunett (David) Gossett; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Lee Jones (Alice) of Dayton, OH, Alphonzo L. Jones of Jacksonville, FL, Donvier Williams of Georgia, and Cornelius Jones of Milledgeville, GA; sisters, Gwendolyn D. Jones of Jesup, GA and Twana Williams of Atlanta, GA; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

She will lie in state on Thursday, June 1, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Stanley United Methodist Church with Dr. Elston McClain as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
