Joann Marbury, 82, went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2017.

She was employed by the City of Chattanooga Human Services Department for 25 years. She was a member of Stanley United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Beulah White and sister, Beulah Mae Pica.

She is survived by her children, Erskine (Charlene) Starkey, Jr., Lisa Starkey, Brian Marbury, Linda (Willie) Cosey, Donna Mayweather, Jennifer (John) Franklin,; two stepchildren, Lazllious Marbury, Ekra (Toney) Tolbert; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; nephew, Jerome (Tina) White; niece, Pamela Darden; other relatives and friends.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, June 22. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, June 23, at Stanley United Methodist Church with Reverend Sharon Bowers officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
