Johnny Wayne Plemons, 61, of Graysville, Tennessee, passed away on June 1, 2017 at a local hospital. 

He was a retired minister with the Church of God in Cleveland, Tn., and a devoted follower of NASCAR and Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Artimus Plemons, and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Plemons, son, Johnny Wayne Plemons, Jr., stepson, Thomas Adrian Gamble, stepdaughter, Nichole McConnell, mother, Geneva Freeman, brothers, Roger and Robert Plemons, sister, Janelle Lawrence, 6 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 6, at 11:30 a.m. with Reverend Carroll Allen officiating.

Arrangements are by South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
