Eric Christopher Burchfield, 28, of Hixson went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017. 

He was a graduate of Red Bank High School and Chattanooga State Community College. He was a member of the Ministry Center.  He was a wonderful son and an amazing brother who was always so full of life.  He always had an infectious smile and brightened the room as he walked in.  He was so kind hearted and had the gift of making you feel you were the most important person on earth and would give you the last dollar in his pocket if you needed it. Eric was a huge sports fan and had a special place in his heart for Tennessee Vols football.

Surviving are his parents, Robert and Sheba Coppit; a brother, Steven (Brittany) Burchfield; a niece, Katie Burchfield; a nephew, Chase Burchfield; father and step-mother, Richard and Marlene Burchfield.

Visitation will be in the Ministry Center, Monday from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The Reverend Jimmy Talley will conduct the service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the the Ministry Center.

Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
