True Unity

Saturday, August 19, 2017

I and my better half had the experience of unity in it purist form tonight.  We went to one of our favorite restaurants close to Hamilton Place.  We were seated at our favorite table and were greeted by our wonderful waiters and waitresses.

Next to and behind us was a group of African Americans just enjoying their evening to the fullest. They were full of laughter and good times.  As one of the ladies was telling a story we all laughed as myself and mate joined in on their happiness.

We all enjoyed each other as if we were relatives from long years past.  It was a truly a  wonderful  experience and I only hope that many of you will have an opportunity to experience the joy, laughter, hugs and gracious friendship we had tonight with total strangers.

Statues never intervened, just true respect and love for each other and our heritage.
