Chattanooga Police Investigating Possible Shooting On Wheeler Avenue

Chattanooga Police responded at 9 a.m. on Tuesday to the 2500 block of Wheeler Avenue on reports of shots fired.

Upon their arrival, officers located several spent shell casings. Police searched the area for a victim but were unable to locate a person shot.

After 10:25 a.m., a victim was located at 2700 Woodside Street suffering from an injury. Investigators are trying to determine if the injury is from a gunshot.

Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to an area hospital.

This incident is actively being investigated by the CPD Major Crimes Bureau. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit an anonymous tip via the Chattanooga PD Mobile App.
