Upcoming Street Closings Announced

Here are upcoming street closings:

Tuesday:

Startup Week Parade: Due to weather, the Startup Week Parade will now occur on Tuesday, October 30th.
The westbound lane of East 11th St. will be closed between Market St. and Columbia St. from 
5pm to 7pm for the Startup Week Parade lineup. At 5:30PM the parade will proceed north on Market St. from E. 11th St. to E. MLK Blvd, turn down Georgia Ave, and end at Miller Park. There will be police escorts stopping traffic as the parade moves through town.   

Wednesday:

Head of the Hooch Rowing Regatta: Beginning on Wednesday, October 31st at 10AM, Riverfront Parkway will be closed from Molly Lane to Aquarium Way. The Veterans Bridge ramp will also be closed, as will Chestnut St. and Power Alley from Aquarium Way to Riverfront Pkwy.
Listed roads will close on 10:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and will be re-opened at 9 pm on Sunday, Nov. 4. 

City Hall Halloween Event: Due to weather, the City Hall Halloween Event will now take place on Oct. 31. Lindsay Street will be closed between E 10th and E 11th Street and E 11th St will be closed between Lindsay St and Newby St on Wednesday, October 31st from 8:30AM until 4PM for the City Halloween Event.    

Graham Street Halloween Block Party: Graham Street will be closed between Normal Ave and Crewdson Street on Wednesday, October 31st from 12PM until 11PM for the annual Halloween block party.

After Hours Event in West Village - W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed on Wednesday, October 31st from 4PM until 9PM. This closure will be in effect each Wednesday evening through January 30th, 2019. 

Thursday:

First Thursdays - Extended Happy Hour & Bluegrass - Station Street from Market to Brinks Security will be closed for First Thursdays at the Choo Choo on November 1st from 5 PM -12 AM.  

Friday:

West Village Out on 8th  - W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed on Friday, November 2nd from 2 pm until  8 am on Saturday, November 3rd.  

Saturday:

Glass Street LIVE: Glass Street, from Taylor Street to Dodson Ave, and Crutchfield Street, from Dodson Ave to Glass Street, will be closed on Saturday, November 3 from 9AM until 6:30PM for the Glass Street LIVE event.

US Bands Southern States Championships: Beginning at 6AM on Saturday, November 3rd until 1AM on Sunday, November 4th Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance of the pavilion parking lot to W 19th Street; W 19th Street, and one westbound and one eastbound lane of W 20th will also be closed between Broad Street and the Hwy 27 overpass. Please note that there will be no street parking available on Chestnut Street from W 17th Street to W 19th Street from 6AM on November 3rd until 1AM on November 4th.
Kiwanis of Ooltewah-Collegedale 5KOne southbound lane of Chesterton Way and one westbound lane of US Hwy 64 will be closed on November 3rd from 7:30PM until 9PM for the Kiwanis of Ooltewah-Collegedale 5K Glow Race.

West Village Halloween Street Festival
 On Saturday, November 3rd, Pine Street between W 7th Street and W M.L. King Blvd, and 
W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed from 8 am until midnight.
     
Sunday:

Urban/Nature 10K: At 8AM on Sunday, November 4th Chattanooga Police Department will assist runners crossing Cherokee Blvd a Manufacturers Road for the beginning of the Urban/Nature 10K Run. CPD will hold traffic while runners cross and then traffic will resume as normal. Cherokee Blvd is anticipated to be fully open by 8:15AM. 
 
Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the pavilion parking lot to W 19th Street from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm each Sunday through November 18.
  
Monday, Nov. 5:

Grace Healthcare Annual Meeting in the West Village: Pine Street between W 7th Street and W M.L. King Blvd, and 
W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed from 9PM until 10:30PM on Monday, Nov. 5.
