Man Shot And Killed Monday Morning By Police Identified As Cesar Alehandro Ramos, 25

A man was shot and killed on Monday morning by Chattanooga Police officers after they responded to a shots fired call at 6:13 a.m. in the 5000 block of 15th Avenue.
 
He has been identified as Cesar Alehandro Ramos, 25.
 
A reporting party said the suspect was walking in the street, displaying a firearm, and firing shots at houses.
 
Upon arrival, officers encountered an armed male suspect matching the description given by the reporting party. Officers engaged with the suspect, shots were fired, and the male suspect sustained life-threatening injuries. The suspect was transported by Hamilton County EMS and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
Per Chattanooga Police Department policy, all officers responding to the call have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
 
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is handling the criminal investigation.
