Shaw Family Dental Center Opens In Dalton

Monday, November 12, 2018

Shaw Industries Group, Inc., a floorcovering provider, announced the opening of the Shaw Family Dental Center. In celebration, Shaw held a grand opening on Friday, giving associates the opportunity to tour the facility, meet its staff and schedule appointments.

The Shaw Family Dental Center will serve associates and their families who are covered by Shaw’s dental insurance plan. A partnership with Onsite Dental, a national leader in patient-centered, evidence-based dentistry, the Center will offer an experienced staff and a Board Certified dentist who utilize state-of-the-art equipment to provide affordable, high-quality dental care, including dental exams, x-rays, dental cleanings, periodontal treatments, composite fillings, sealants, crowns/bridges, root canals, some oral surgical procedures, night guards, cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, and Invisalign® orthodontics, said officials.

Care is made convenient due to extended office hours, available Monday through Friday, and an online scheduling portal. Given the connection between oral and physical health, the Shaw Family Dental Center and Shaw Family Health Center will cross-refer patients in an effort to offer patient-centered, comprehensive care.

“We want to empower our associates to lead healthy lives and place an emphasis on their wellbeing, so we are excited to open the Shaw Family Dental Center,” said Mike Fromm, Shaw Industries’ chief human resources officer. “Providing this resource for convenient dental care is one of the many ways we deliver upon our corporate vision to create a better future for our associates and their families. Our people are our competitive advantage, and we’ll continue placing them at the center of all we do.”

The Shaw Family Dental Center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Shaw associates who are covered by the company’s dental insurance plan and interested in scheduling an appointment for themselves or their covered dependents may visit http://apt.shawdalton.onsitedental.com or call (706) 286-6154.

Roy Exum: We're Torturing Millions

I’ll admit it – I would rather hurt than take an opioid pain pill. Hydrocodone and its cousins scare the willies out of me because once when I was ‘drug sick,’ it was the worst sickness I have ever known. For somebody who always has somewhere that it hurts, I know that opioids are wonderful when used properly but because they are increasingly abused by society, there are now over ... (click for more)
