Susie Gail Moats Sharp, 63, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at her home.

 

The daughter of the late Woodrow and Hazel Mildred Sexton Moats, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Sharp, brothers, Woody Moats, Jr. and Paul Allen Moats, and sisters, Mary Cagle and Carolyn Hargis.

 

A lifelong resident of the South Pittsburg area, she worked for many years as an operator at Shaw Industries, retiring in 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, and loved spending time playing with her grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Johnny) May, of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Brent Vinson, Jacob Vinson, Lauren May, Kevin May, and Jonathan May; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Luke, Braleigh, Jase, Avery, and Harper; sisters, Opal Smith, of Chattanooga, and Ann Holland, of Englewood, Tn.; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at Wesley United Methodist Church on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. Central time with Reverend Joe Moore officiating.
