Bettye Ruth Robinson, 82, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at her mother’s residence. 

She graduated from Howard High School class of 1954. She was a member of New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Women of Excellence Ministry, Missionary Society, and was the Superintendent of Sunday School. Bettye was employed for Erlanger Medical Center for 45 years and was on the Chattanooga Housing Authority Board of Commission for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Robinson, Jr.; mother, Lola Mae Harlin; and son, Reginald Lovelace.

Survivors include her sons, Terrance Lovelace of Nashville, Tn., and Leroy Robinson III of Richmond, Va.; daughters, Andrea Jones of Chattanooga, and Regina Sydnor of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; five sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation is on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. at New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Terrance Hannah and Pastor Lydell Lovelace as the eulogists. 

Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
