Robert McKinley
Robert Lee McKinley, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at his stepdaughter’s residence.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by U.S. Pipe & Foundry for many years. Robert was a faithful member of Stephen Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara McKinley; children, Gerald Petite and Timothy Petite; grandchildren, Tracy Hardaway and Tyisha Petite.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Diane Daniels; granddaughter, Crystal Hardaway, both of Chattanooga; other children, Alan (Darlene) Petite, Ray Hardaway, Ernest (Barbara) Hardaway, and Shirley (Leon) Caudle; several grandchildren; relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Earnest Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
