Chattanooga Red Wolves SC Unveils Team Crest, Stadium Renderings At Fan Celebration

  • Thursday, November 15, 2018

The Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club revealed two key components of the professional club’s identity in the Scenic City on Thursday night: the team crest and a first look at the future stadium.

“For months, we have drawn inspiration from Chattanooga’s natural beauty, iconic landmarks and the red wolf itself to create the team’s crest,” said team owner Bob Martino during the fan celebration at Edley’s Bar-B-Que.

“This crest will be worn and celebrated by fans of all ages for generations to come. We are pleased to finally share the icon of professional soccer with the people of Chattanooga and surrounding areas.”

In addition to the crest, team leadership also shared a first look of the future 5,500-seat stadium to be built in time for the 2020 season.

Officials said, "The soccer-specific facility will create a game day experience for fans focused solely on the beautiful game and cannot be matched in the area. The stadium will include sky suites, on-field suites, a fan zone, several dining options, a merchandise store, state-of-the-art scoreboard, a beer garden and hospitality areas. The stadium is designed to be a game day destination for locals and visitors to enjoy throughout a Red Wolves match. There will be various seating options within the U-shaped stadium configuration, which creates a close-to-the-action fan experience.  The seating along the sidelines will be covered to provide protection from the sun and rain."

Sean McDaniel, president and general manager of the team, said, “A professional soccer team enables this venue to bring the best aspects of the game together to enhance the fan experience. Fans can enjoy a full day of soccer activities when attending a Red Wolves match. We’re thrilled to share images of what will be the home of professional soccer in the Scenic City. This stadium and the talented players, coaches and fans that fill it will forever put Chattanooga on the map of professional soccer cities.”

The team previously announced it will play its inaugural season at David Stanton Field at Chattanooga Christian School while the stadium is being built. Additional amenities are being developed for the site during its temporary use including hospitality with food trucks and a youth area with games.

The location of the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC stadium will be released in February 2019.
