Wayne Bales, 64, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
He was a life-long resident of Chattanooga and loved his family and friends. Wayne enjoyed fishing, cars, trucks, talking about cars and NASCAR racing, especially the late Dale Earnhardt, as well as motorcycles. Well known for his beautiful blue eyes, he never met a stranger and everyone who knew him loved him. An avid lover of having cookouts with family and friends, he was always the life of any get together.
Mr. Bales was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Douglas Bales, Sr.; mother, Doris Shipley; son, Doug (Lil Doug) Bales; brother, Buddy Bales.
Survivors include his significant other, Janet Freeman; sons, Cody Johnson, Eric Johnson; (Pamela) Johnson; brothers, Allan Bales and Danny Rogers; sisters, Sharon Cummings, Debbie (Billy) Watts and Ann Bales; grandchildren, Hunter, Emily and Harlan Bales; close friend, Jimmy Haygood and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Bales officiating.
His family will receive friends from 12:30–2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home prior to the service.
