Joe Edward McCown, 81, passed away at his home on Friday, November 16, 2018.
He had worked at Wheland Foundry, member of Post #106, American Legion. He was a member and deacon at Open Door Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Dell McCown; two brothers, Gary and Raymond McCown.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy McCown; son, Joe E. McCown II, Columbia South Carolina; sister, Lorri McCown, brothers, James McCown, Ricky McCown and Tim McCown two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery with Brother Ron Moreland officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 6-8 p.m.
