Iva Jones
Iva Lee Jones 86, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed into her heavenly home on Nov 17, 2018.
She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Retired from Hardwick Clothes. She was the loving, devoted rock of her family who always had an open door, a genuine smile and homemade biscuits. She made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her home was a warm and comfortable place where her family gathered for many joyous occasions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Jones, her daughter-in-law, Linda Jones, her grandparents, John and Rebecca Jones, Robert and Ella Dockery, her parents, John and Hattie Dockery Jones, her brothers, Maurice Jones and his wife Jodi and Robert Clyde Jones, her sister, Imogene Burrell and her husband Amos, her sister-in-law, Rebecca Jones and her brothers-in-law, Glen Anderson, Wayne Lindner and Mayford Debity.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Boyette and her husband Andrew “Jackie”, Kathy Stiles and her husband Stephen, her son, James Douglas Jones, her grandchildren, Kelley Carpenter and her husband Justin, Matt Boyette, Joshua Stiles, Gina Holt and her husband Chuck, Shannah Maddox and her husband David, Donna Mosley and her husband Jay and Jamie Jones, her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tucker Trevor and Sloan Carpenter, Lorin and Landon Boyette, Lebron Gooch, Jace and Lily Kate Holt, Jacob, Grace and Elliza Stiles, Vann Jones, Jayden and Janna Maddox and MacKayla Mosley, her brother, John Richard Jones, her sisters, Argilena Lindner, Irene Lindner, and her husband Wade, Rosie Debity, Josephine Anderson, Pauline Graves and her husband Joe and her sister-in-law, Lou Jane Jones.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Reverend Joe Taylor officiating.
The committal service will be a held graveside on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Towee Falls Baptist Church Cemetery with Justin Carpenter, Tyler Carpenter, Tucker Carpenter, Joshua Stiles, Matt Boyette and Jamie Jones serving as casket bearers. Honoary pallbearers will be Trevor Carpenter, Jacob Stiles, Landon Boyette and Lebron Gooch.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
