Shane Fortner
Shane Fortner, 37, a resident of Birchwood, passed away on November 17, 2018, at the family residence.
Shane graduated from Chattanooga Central High School with honors in 2001. He attended Chattanooga State and MTSU for a short time. Shane was a very faithful Christian.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Fortner, his grandparents, Bobbie Fortner, Carl William Fortner, Mary Kennedy and Shirley Kennedy.
He is survived by his father, Carl E. Fortner, and his mother and step father, Barbara and Gale Tinsley along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Reverend David Evans officiating. The interment will follow at McInturf Cemetery with friends and family serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
