Get the inside story behind the spectacular images from the BigPicture Natural World Photography exhibit - the best wildlife and conservation photos from around the globe – during a special reception and presentation at the Tennessee Aquarium on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Nationally acclaimed wildlife photographer Donna Bourdon will share secrets to capturing dramatic images of nature, including her stunning photograph of a Roseate Spoonbill that was selected as one of the top entries in this year's BigPicture photo competition.
You’ll also be inspired by additional wildlife images and the stories behind the photos from Rhonda Rubinstein, BigPicture co-founder and Creative Director of the California Academy of Sciences. Finally, Dr. Elizabeth Bagley, Cal Academy’s sustainability expert, will reveal how these powerful images—and the threats faced by many of the featured species—intersect with environmental solutions for a more sustainable future.
Guests will be able to enjoy touring River Journey before, or immediately following, the presentation.
