Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove residents Carrie Sue Yerbey and Doris Rowe show off the friendship bracelets they made for one another
For two residents at Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove, friendship means everything.
According to Naomi Schumacher, the life enrichment director at Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove, residents Carrie Sue Yerbey and Doris Rowe “have formed a tight friendship since day one. They enjoy shopping, sitting on the porch, painting and just about anything else, so long as they are together.” In fact, the bond between these women is so strong that they decided to memorialize it with handmade friendship bracelets.
“Recently the residents have enjoyed making jewelry, creating bracelets, necklaces and earrings from an assortment of beads,” Ms. Schumacher says. “Carrie Sue and Doris together made friendship bracelets this week and we witnessed a special moment as they compared their pearl bracelets.”
"In a world of largely superficial and pragmatic relationships, true and lasting friendships can be rare. This is why Yerbey and Rowe’s friendship is so special—and Schumacher and the rest of the associates at Morning Pointe could not be happier for them," officials said.
